Why restack?

Extensive and alternating production processes often require one or more container changes in the value chain of a component. Many of these processes were previously considered impossible to automate and involved costly or unergonomic manual tasks. For example, components are repacked from a bulk container into containers that can be automated. Here they pass through the manufacturing process and are finally packed in a delivery container specific to the end customer. PROWIN A+W offers you a customized solution for this.

High number of types for maximum flexibility

Your components come in different dimensions? Then a PROWIN A+W restacking cell with integrated type editor is exactly the right approach. Here our customers can easily copy/edit/adapt type records. A major gear manufacturer was thus able to integrate over 60 types of different gears on the system itself. For a type extension he needs currently still approx. 30 minutes, something like that would not be realizable with a classical programming. Our customers are enthusiastic and emphasize how flexible they are for future projects, especially for components that are expected to come in further variants.

Efficient drive engineering

Not only in the automotive world, the e-bike or the electric scooter has the trend taken hold, this development direction is also evident in industry. By converting the systems to purely electric operation and dispensing with pneumatics, a cost reduction in acquisition and maintenance can be achieved. Maintenance costs can also be significantly reduced. By dispensing with pneumatics, the number of components can be significantly reduced, which naturally also reduces the risk of failure and downtimes. Despite the reduction in the number of components, this does not mean a reduction in the scope of performance, quite the opposite: for example, by using NC gripping technology, the gripping stroke can be adjusted depending on the type, which in turn improves the cycle time. We want to further expand this trend and can already implement a significant proportion of systems 100% electrically.
